The governing values of The NO Project are inclusivity, sustainability, dignity and respect. We do not endorse sensationalist clichéd imagery that focuses solely on the victim or portrays trafficking as commercial sexual exploitation only. Enfeebled images of abused females and males, barcodes, chains, and duct tape are images we try to avoid. Please view the Art section of the site to see how artists strive to go beyond the violent imagery that is often used to represent human trafficking.
If you would like more information on this point – please contact us about our document, Guidelines for Artists. This document clearly lays out the ways in which we aim for powerful art that does not re-exploit survivors or stay focused on abuse. This does not represent the crime, and illegal business of human trafficking.
